How do I prevent pop ups on my computer?

Answer #1

If you are using Firefox browser you can add plugins that is useful on blocking pop-ups, the adblock plus, and it also block some ads in the internet, this is pretty cool and costless. Go try it.

Answer #2

Staying off of sites that have a lot of pop-ups and spyware is also a good idea. Steer clear from cheap porn sites, for example.

Answer #3

Downloading Firefox would be a good start. Most people use Internet Explorer as their primary browser, and ad-makers know this. So their software is constantly evolving to find new ways around the pop-up blockers that IE and Google Toolbar and Yahoo Toolbar throw up. Firefox, on the other hand, besides being the most b!tchingest browser out there, also flies low enough under the radar that most ad-makers overlook it. One or two pop-ups get through from time to time, but on the whole, you’ll notice a marked improvement.

And Firefox has a built-in spellchecker for text boxes like these.

And you only need to type in the title of a web page in the address bar, not the entire URL.

Damn, I love this browser. Go, Firefox, go.

Answer #4

you have to turn your Fire wall on.
