Can I put my child on my w2

I worked last year and dont plan to work this year cause im pregnant. Now if I dont file this year can I file next year with my child(only child) thats gonna be born this year?

Your asking if you don’t work this year - can you claim your child on your taxes next year?

If so - then yes you can. I didn’t work last year when I was pregnant, and I’m claiming my son on my taxes. You can get what’s called Erned Income when you do that.
