The trouble probably wouldn't be in brushing unless you brush really hard. You'll likely run into issues with the flossing if you do that aggressively though. Just as a suggestion, use some Oral-B Superfloss. It has a hard end you can thread through the braces, followed by a fuzzy part that gets out a ton of grime. Then it ends as a regular piece of floss. It's braces' best friend.
With all that in mind, pulling off a bracket would be extreme. You may make the rubber band pop off that holds the wire to the bracket, making the wire come loose. I believe I did that once. I have a permanent retainer in the bottom teeth, and one of the glue pieces came off for that because of flossing. Brackets are hardcore though.
If you're worried about over brushing, maybe just do touchups throughout the day and just do like one major brush before bed. The stuck food sucks with braces, I know, so rinse may be your ideal in between brushes choice.
Sigh, I wish you all the best chickie. Those things suck, but they are worth it in the end :D
I have ceramic braces so there more brittle then metal ones, so thats where the worry comes into play. I brush my teeth literally 10 times through out the day cause i eat way more then i should haha so im just worried all that extra force will like pop one off =/
Well, I brush my teeth 3 or 4 times a day and I haven't pulled one of my brackets off..so I don't think it's likely you would. They're stuck on with like, this special glue stuff, like cement..it'd be pretty hard to do that I think. But it's probably possible..
its very unlikely to pull a bracket off...they put this stuff called cement that holds it ....only if they didnt do a good job on your braces can a bracket come off....
Lmao, no you didn't. I answered at the same time you did silly :) I'm just more chatty...haha
Yeah, if you brush with a screwdriver.
sigh I got pwned...
