Answer #1

You need to talk to your doctor about it (at least here) and they’ll give you a prescription and then you can go buy it at the pharmacy. You cant just get it.

Answer #2

kool thanx :)

Answer #3

You can also go to a womens free clinic and get is prescribed to you through them for free, or planned parenthood offers discounted birth control, usually around $20 a month. Both places require you talk to their doctors and have an exam before they will prescribe the birth control to you. Its important because the doctors ask about your medical history, any problems you have medically or make sure your not pregnant…since all those things can affect your birthcontrol or be dangerous for you to use it.

Answer #4

thanx:)

Answer #5

Yeah, it definitely is supposed to be prescribed. But that doesnt mean it isnt possible to just get it. You can technically get anything without a prescription. And generally it is best to consult with a doctor. They dont have to do an exam to give you birth control, it is recommended but some doctors will prescribe it without an exam.

Answer #10

Unless you get it from a friend, or steal it….you must have it prescribed to you. You can’t just go into a store and pick some up…they don’t sell it at any stores or anything….

Answer #11

i wouldnt even dream of stealing someone elses birth control lol

Answer #12

I get mine through my university’s free clinic for free. Planned parenthood also gives it to you for free and so do government clinics.

It doesn’t have to be prescribed by a doctor, but you do need to at least have a nurse prescribe it to you.
