What is the best college to go to? If I want to be a special education teacher?

The best college depends on your field of study and which school is best for you.

Some people thrive in small colleges where the professors get to know each student; some students want all the extra opportunities a large university offers. Some colleges are in bucolic small towns while others are in bustling cities. If you don’t like the cold than a college in the South may be your best bet but if you like 4 distinct seasons you might like the North.

Your finanances might be a big decider. State colleges are generally much cheaper than private schools. Also, admissions are competitive so you can’t always get into the college that is your first choice.

The best thing to do is to research the top colleges in your field than visit a few of them to see which seems right for you.

Standford in CA. Great Educational program. However it is rated the #3 University in the US… do you have the grades? and the money?0

Any college with a Department of Education would suit your needs. try to get into a STATE school, rather than a JC, that way you can career path 4 years, not two, then start all over at a University for the next 2.
