What's the best cell phone company?

I just moved back to my hometown in Cali after a year in Texas. I need a cell phone (my phone there broke, and was with a ghetto company anyway). My fiance and I want to be on the same plan. Cheap, reliable.. Share your wisdom!

Well according to an independent study by JD Power and Associates, T-Mobile was rated #1 in California based on “Overall Satisfaction”, “Cost of Service”, “Billing” and “Service Plan Options”.

Verizon came in 2nd.
