Is there a way to hide belly button rings?

I have a cheerleading competition tomorrow, and we’re not supposed to wear any jewelry. A couple of my friends and I had our belly buttons pierced not too long ago, and our coach wants us to take them out before we perform. It would be at least an hour without them in, and we’re worried that we won’t be able to get them back in. Is there any way to prevent the hole from closing, or a way to hide/comouflage them? We’re going to try to tape them and see how it is.. any suggestions?

ooo… try concealer or paint to try and cover it… people wont be able to see it from a distant view… works for nose piercings. OR just explain sorry it was expensive I can’t take it out etc.
