Do other ballerinas stop wearing underwear (even thongs) under their costumes for recitals and competitions at age 11 so they don't show?

In my studio girl 10 and younger wear panties but 11 and up don’t when they preform. I wear underwear for practice but haven’t worn under under my costume when I preform since I was 11.

Nope, back when I used to dance, the most I did was wear seamless underwear. I don’t like not wearing underwear haha, feels unsafe and weird. Although, I do remember having to do it before when I was really young. My sister still dances, she’s 15, she also just wears seamless or something that just won’t show. I mean if girls can wear yoga-pants or leggings without pantylines :o wearing a tutu, or a ballet costume wouldn’t be a problem.

when i went to gymnastics nobody wore underwear and i was about 7 or 8 years old.

i wear underwear. It just doesn’t feel right if I don’t O.o Just wearing they right kind for performances seems to do the trick for me :D
