What are some of the uses for baking soda?

I have heard baking soda has a lot of uses but I dont know hardly any so what are some good uses for it?

If you have an porcelain sink like your grandmother used to have, get a spray bottle and put white vinegar in it then spray the sink. Take a handled sifter and sprinkle baking soda where you just put the vinegar in the sink. Leave set 5-10 minutes then use a soft scouring pad (yellow sponge on one side, green scratchy pad on the other) and it will take all the metal scuff marks out of the sink and leave it beautifully white again!
