Are bars creepy?

I turn 19 on Saturday and my friends all want me to go to the bar with them but I’m scared. I’m not much of a drinker, I may have a couple of coolers occasionally but I’m not the party type. I’m scared of going and guys like trying stuff with me, I hate being touched by people I don’t know. Are bars really that bad? I live in a small town of 78,000 so theres only a few bars here.

I found bars arnt creepy if you hang arond with your own crowd and don’t dress so creepy guys will give you attention and hit on you, also try an upper class bar one with soft music and such instead of some crazy one.

depends what bar and what time you go. Why dont you go to a cafe/wine bar in the afternoon or something if your not really the party type?

I dont think that they are creepy it just all depends on the type of people that are there..but HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY.and good luck..

Hi Fau, Bars in general are not creepy, and remember although it is a bar you dont have to drink alcohol to have a good time (any decent bar will have a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks available (not just coke/diet coke etc))

Around here they aren’t creepy at all. Kinda depends on the bar you go into though. Up in Montreal there are some really nice pubs I used to go to when I went to school near the border. Anyway I could talk all night about the bars, but in the end I think you should just check them out, and experience them for yourself. Good luck, Oh and your lucky, the USA is mostly if not completely 21 for a drinking age.
