Well, if you haven’t taken your SAT/ACT yet, I’d suggest getting on top of that soonish.

All of the schools have websites you can consult that contain all the information you need. Depending on the state you’re applying in, some of our lovely schools have a universal application that can be sent to everyone once you have filled it out.

I’d get a minute with your school’s counselors to talk about the options available to you as far as schools.

Don’t forget that the deadlines approaching aren’t negotiable. . .if you have a deadline in 6 days, you can’t be late if that’s what you want.

Also, state schools aren’t the only schools around. Look at private schools, community colleges, and even vocational schools.
