Anyone willing to adhere to these?

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?” -Epicurus

“The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity.” -John Adams

“During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What has been its fruits? More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy; ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry, and persecution.” -James Madison

“Religion is a byproduct of fear. For much of human history, it may have been a necessary evil, but why was it more evil than necessary? Isn’t killing people in the name of God a pretty good definition of insanity?” -Arthur C. Clarke

“I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies.” “Lighthouses are more helpful than churches.” -Benjamin Franklin

“The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma.” -Abraham Lincoln

“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” -Unknown

“Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet.” “Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich.” “All religions have been made by men.” -Napoleon Bonaparte

“Faith means not wanting to know what is true.” -Friedrich Nietzsche

Last(but not least) “I credit that eight years of grammar school with nourishing me in a direction where I could trust myself and trust my instincts. They gave me the tools to reject my faith. They taught me to question and think for myself and to believe in my instincts to such an extent that I just said, ‘This is a wonderful fairy tale they have going here, but it’s not for me.’” (New York Times, August 20, 1995) -George Carlin (I just felt like throwing him in there)

Billy Graham is an anti-semitic evangelical who for some reason seems to get a pass by most christians, even though he has said some incredibly anti-semtic remarks to Ricahrd Nixon in the oval office. And thanks to Tricky Dick, it was caught on tape. Ooops…

Shalom, did my genome change by 0.1% when I finally escaped from a lifetime of Christian brainwashing to realize it was an elaborate system of deception?

Answer #4

I am Convinced the other .1% difference in the human’s Genome is what separates some of US as to a true Genius and everyone else in between who does not understand the existence of God

“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” -Unknown

I have actually used this argument (in slightly different wording, obviously).

I particularly liked this one: “Faith means not wanting to know what is true.”

Answer #10

Ever heard of BIlly Graham?

Answer #11

shalom_love26 Okay sweetheart, you’re one of the geniuses who believe in God & unsderstand him I take it, elaborate him to us. Tell me something I haven’t heard before. As far as I’m concerned it’s the exact opposite. When was the last time a bible thumper did something useful & became famous?

George Washington was an atheist, Albert Einstein, Newton, All your famous scientist, Oh Helen Keller Susan B. Anthony all ATHEIST

Donations for charity, the bikers beat the bible thumpers

So tell me miss genies, what made God? What made that? What’s the point of testing us humans if he made us & is all knowing? Why did he make Satan? Why did he have virgins sacrificed & children slaughtered yet claims to love? Tell me why nothing of the bible has been confirmed, rather disproved if it’s the word of God? Isn’t he suppose to be perfect? But the bible is flawed, wouldn’t that mean he’s flawed? Or perhaps God didn’t make the bible? Which brings up the other pint, how do you know the bible was made by God? How do you know it really isn’t the devil’s word? Tell me miss genies, I’ld really like to know.
