another cocker question!

I have not been on here for a while and I can’t remember who the cocker lady is but does anyone know anything about “merles”, a type of cocker spaniel? I’m interested in buying a new cocker and the one I have picked out is a merle.Curious about any health problems they might be more prone to compared to regular cockers.
