Algebra 2 (Please help, really lost!)

  1. Find the linear equation given the following information: when x = -1, y = 2 and when x = 2, y = 2

  2. There is a linear equation where when x = 2, y = 10 and when x = 10, y =-2. Find the ordered pairs when x = -10 and when x = 100.

  3. There is a linear equation where when x = 5, y = -5 and when x = -25, y = -25. Find the ordered pairs when x = 2 and when x = 50.

^^^ (If someone could please explain how to do number 2, I’ll figure out #3. :/)

Answer #1

x = -1, y = 2 and when x = 2, y = 2

y = mx + c

m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

m = 2 - 2 / -1 - 2 m = 0/ -3 m = 0

c = 2

y = 2

Answer #2

right^^

but in America, we say y=mx+b

m=slope

b= why intercept

just so you know

Answer #3

lol… huh its a long process… I’ve solved it on paper but dont know how to write those symbols here.. so lemme make it as JPG then I’ll send it.. dun worry

Answer #4

Oh my. Thank you sososo much. You have no idea how much that would help.
