Advice on my menstrual cycle

Im 19 years old and I got my period when I was 12, I never had a normal cycle it came every 3 months sometime even every 8 months. As I got older it has come more often but every now and then it still skips months. I would like to see a gyno but have no insurance, should I be worried?

Answer #1

No. It’s pretty normal to be ‘abnormal’. Birth control pills/patches/shots would be a good option to regulate your periods and avoid getting pregnant at the same time. Check into Planned Parenthood or a local clinic for free birth control and gyno exams.
