Answer #1

i think addiction comes in all shapes and sizes so yes id guess you can…

we all like to eat its just some of us know when not to….

ok what i mean by that is, im a diabetic and i eat at set times… breakfast @ 8am dinner @ 12:00 tea @ 4pm then ill have some fruit around 19:45 and also have fruit at 10am. 12:00, 4pm and 6pm…

what you dont want to be doing is eating for the sake of it so you need to have some set times just like me and you must stick to it… maybe talking to your doctor and seeing if he can put you in touch with a dietitian might help

thankyou:)

Answer #3

Oh yes…anything that has the ability to bring pleasure or change how you feel. Many people are “emotional eaters”….and eating what they call comfort food, which can range from creamy and fattening to sweet and fattening and salty and fattening (snacks)….brings them just that…..comfort. Stress, depression, grief, can trigger eating for comfort. The addiction part isn’t that different from drinking or drugging, except one need to eat to live (a big roadblock).

It’s better to do some self discovery, and get to the bottom of why a person feels the need to eat for comfort rather than eat to survive.

yeah i get that like i eat when i’m bored or just for the hel of it. but if you distract yourself like go to the park or go shopping or go out with your friends somewhere make sure you’re entertained and you’ll forget about food. so just get busy and go do something.

Answer #5

definately. Anything that makes you feel good can be addictive. Things like food, sex and anything else that has a positive effect on your mood causes your brain to release dopamine which is also what happens with alot of drgs so food addiction etc can actually be quite similar in some ways to drg addiction.

There is no easy way to get around this. You just have to remind yourself that it may make you feel good for a little while, but the long term effect it is having on you is making you feel pretty bad. The good news for you? Sports make you release these feel-good substances too so maybe the best thing to do is get back into your sports. It will also distract you from eating out of boredom.

Answer #6

ok thankyou :)

Answer #7

Yes and no. Normally addictions are substances that make you feel good similar to things you need. Things like food are things you actually need. It would be better to find better foods to eat instead of trying to “quit”.
