When ads say "Test out this product" and they say they will send it to you, are they legit or is it a scam?

i saw an ad that said they will send you an ipad to try out or something like that and i was wondering if those type of things was scams because it seems like they are.

I hate saying “it depends”, but, it depends - some sites are legit, others aren’t. Do you research.
