Does acupuncture hurt?

Answer #1

My friend says she gets acupuncture. She says it hurts but most of all makes her happy for some reason, it makes her laugh I think. Weird combo lol.

Answer #2

It depends on how well you can cope with pain. You can feel a slight sting when the needles are put in but once its tapped in, its pretty comfortable. You even forget it’s there because your back starts going numb. You can start feeling tingles, aching, throbbing or like a electrical buzz where the needles are being inserted. The pain is like plucking a hair from your scalp or pinning yourself. If the needle is painful once it’s in, the doctor has to move it to another place and it gets comfortable again. It also depends on where your getting it done. The ones on the wrist can be very painful than the ones on the back or legs. It’s more relaxing than painful though.
