6 weeks pregnant and terrified with spotting & loss of symptoms!

Hello, I am exactly 6weeks pregnant today and for the past 5 days I have been spotting (brownish in color) off and on. The spotting has varied in heavieness and my Dr. said there may be spotting after the pelvic exam that I had 3 days ago but why is it continuing? I also have a loss of symptoms my breasts were extremely sore before and I was cramping but that has all gone away is this normal? I am scared that I may be having a miscarriage has anyone else experienced this so early in pregnancy??? I appreciate your answers!

My OB/GYN told me it is very possible to have a period during pregnancy. It isn’t the same as one you’d have when you aren’t pregnant though. The brownish colored blood you mentioned sounds to me like this is what you are having (brown colored blood indicates old blood which was already there before you got pregnant and is now leaving - which is the period you may have when pregnant). I recently had a baby (Jan. 21st) and I remember 2 separate times that I went to go get checked out at my gyno that afterwards I spotted a little bit, but it never lasted more than a day. If you are soaking pads left and right and/or the blood is bright red, than that sadly could mean you are having a miscarriage. If you want an immediate answer I’d definitely schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN and get checked out. Hope all goes well!

Hi I am 6 weeks pregnant and had aching and pains followed by brown blood loss which turned red with 3 small clots. It wasnt enough blood loss for a towel only when I wiped myself. I havent really got any pregnancy symptoms apart from a bad back. This is my third pregnancy and never had this before. I went to the doctor and they sent me for a scan. At the time by docs dates I was 7 weeks nearly 8.But when I had scan they confirmed I was 6 weeks. I had been so worried I just couldnt rest!! I had internal scan which I was also worried about but it was fine. we seen the baby and there was no heartbeat which there wouldnt have been. But they could see sack and yolk and the pole which is the start of the heart forming. We then had a chat with another nurse that explained all the results. She said it was implationan bleed and was nothing to worry about, some people get it some dont. Im going back in 2 weeks when the heart should have formed and will be able to see it. I have scaning the internet when it was happening to me as I was terrified I was losing the baby! and found it very useful to read what people had put so I thought I would do the same.

Take care xx

Hi there, im nearly 6 weeks pregnant, and have been very lightly loosing a pinkish sometimes brown fluid every day for the last week. At the beginning I had some cramping pains but those have eased of now. I am also being treated for bacteria vaginosis which I have read that maybe this could cause the blood loss, but my doc did say no it couldn,t, anyhow im hoping for a scan tomorrow. But also worried that my doc has not given me the anti d as I am o negative blood group and during my last pregnancy I bled on and of a couple of times and had to have the anti d so any future preganancies wer,nt at risk. by the way even though I bled during my last pregnancy I had a beautiful healthy baby boy who was 1 yesterday. I know that it can be normal to bleed a during pregnany but it is a very worrying time, tomorrow cant come quick enough for me. good luck to all out there who are experiencing the same.xx
