Why isn't *69 working on my phone?

ok theres these calls I keep getting.. they’re call then hang up.. I think it’s my cousin.. she likes to be a witch to me.. but I want to be sure.. so I turned on my phone hit *69.. and all it said was “I’m sorry we are unable to complete your call as dialed, please hang up and try again” or something along thoes lines.. is there something I did wrong?.. or something else I can try?

no, 67 is what you dial before you dial the person’s number if you want your caller id not to show up to the person you’re calling. if 69 didn’t work then they may have dialed 67, making their number unavailable, or, the person who’s phone your using doesn’t have 69 as a feature in their phone service plan.

no nothing is wrong with your phone the person who did it pressed 67 it hides you number and you can’t 69 it at all. it did the same thing to me to. you welcome
