How can I deal with this student loan problem?

Ok heres the thing 5 or 6 years back I attended college and I was there less then 3 months I had a pell grant that was 5700 dollars and my school says that I owe them about 2400. So I was reading in the court hearing letter I got saying that it could be dissmissed if I didnt have a diploma or GED which I dont have a diploma but I do have a GED after I started, but I dont know what I registered college with. So What do you think I should do? How can I raise enough money to pay this off without them garnishing my paycheck? I cannot afford them taking out 15% of my pay check I wont make bills… Please help as soon as you read this please….

It would appear you should make every effort to track down your original paperwork..there’s a paper trail out there - also speak with the person at that college handles the pogram, for a possible reduced monthly payment plan…..good luck !
