Why do I always end up losing more friends when I try to fix things between others?

Answer #1

When we try to hold onto the moon, the stars slip through our fingers. It’s better to have a few close friends than to have many fair weather friends. Think about which friendships are the most important to you and work on keeping those alive … allow the others to slip away.

Answer #2

Maybe the way you try to fix things between them is ineffective and alienates them instead?

Answer #3

Who appointed you to be peacemaker? A lot of times rivalries just need to play out and trying to force them puts you at odds with both sides.

Answer #4

The thing is now my best friends are mad at me and I don’t like anyone else in any of the classes around me, but thanks coco

Answer #5

Yea often times your friends resent you for interfering even if they asked for help. It’s the whole “kill the messenger” scenario at play too. Sometimes you have to take a step back and let your friends grow up and handle their own problems. You’re a good and decent friend for wanting to step in and help, but like I said sometimes things can go from bad to worse even if you had the best of intentions. Good luck.
