How do you attach a strap to a guitar?

I know I sound stupid lol. But there’s this one obvious hook thing on the body, and idk where to put the other end! Are you supposed to attach it to a tuner? That would mess up the tuning, right??? But it’s the only place I could possibly attach it. :)

Most guitars will have pegs where the strap slips or clips on down the bottom. If I’m playing with a strap, I tie mine at the top on the neck to make it smaller to fit.

Just tie it around the headstock, in between the tuning pegs, and the knut (the thingy that holds the strings in place) Make sure its under the strings though! Then it won’t mess with the tuning :)

Thanks! So you just have to actually tie it instead of sticking it on a peg? Haha i’ve been playing for about a year so I really should know this…

Yeah haha… Don’t put it on the peg, tie it around the headstock :)
