Who we are

Welcome to PAC Hải Phòng! We are a leading center for HIV/AIDS prevention and control in the city of Hải Phòng. Established under the Department of Health, we are a legal entity with our own seal and headquarters, and we operate a bank account with the State Treasury of Hải Phòng. Our center is dedicated to combating the spread of HIV/AIDS in the community and providing essential services to those affected by the disease.

What we Do

At PAC Hải Phòng, our primary function is to advise the Director of the Department of Health on HIV/AIDS prevention and control activities within the city. We serve as the permanent agency for the city’s HIV/AIDS Steering Committee, overseeing and coordinating efforts to prevent the spread of the disease. Our responsibilities include developing and implementing plans based on national HIV/AIDS strategies and city-specific needs, as well as reporting to the Director of the Department of Health for approval by the city’s People’s Committee.

In addition to strategic planning, we also lead and organize various activities, such as:

• Collaborating with local agencies to promote information, education, and communication on HIV prevention behaviors
• Providing guidance on implementing harm reduction measures for HIV prevention
• Monitoring HIV/AIDS/STI cases, conducting HIV testing, and offering counseling and care for those living with HIV/AIDS
• Conducting research and participating in scientific studies to advance HIV/AIDS prevention and control efforts
• Training healthcare professionals and other personnel on HIV/AIDS prevention and control protocols
• Managing and implementing national HIV/AIDS projects and related initiatives
