Who We Are

Welcome to Blue Oak School, a nurturing and progressive TK-8 day school located in the heart of downtown Napa. Since our founding in 2002, we have been dedicated to fostering a love of learning in students. Blue Oak School was established by two visionary families who aspired to create a nurturing environment where students could grow, stretch their capabilities, and become independent learners. From our humble beginnings as a K-4 school with just over 70 students, we have grown into a thriving educational community serving over 190 students today.

Our diverse and dynamic community includes families not just from Napa, but also from Calistoga, St. Helena, Rutherford, Yountville, American Canyon, Vallejo, Fairfield, and Sonoma. We are also proud to welcome families who have recently moved to California from New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Australia, and China. Our commitment to excellence ensures that Blue Oak’s eighth-grade graduates are well-prepared to enroll in high schools near and far.
