Why don't my videos show up on Youtube?

I would like to find out about vidieos on youtube.

when I upload a vidieo on youtube and I go to toolbar and type in the name of it and it doesnt come up it is just on my channel.

I believe it takes a number of hours for videos to show up in search results.
