Yet another weight loss question.

I am 5’4”, 164 pounds, with a 32” waist and 42” hips. I’ve lost like 20-30 pounds in the last 9 months, but my stomach fat is disproportionally large. I have what is commonly referred to as a spare tire, and I can’t really find specific exercises to make that go away. I would like to have a 24-25” waist and smaller hips, like 36”? I don’t know, I just want to be a much smaller dress/pant size. I’m currently a 12/14. Anyway, anybody have any tips for me?

Well I’ve never had a weight problem(other than people thinking im anorexic) so I cant say I know how you feel but I do remember when my mom was loosing her baby weight she simply wrapped herself in cooking wrap.Seran wrap(cant spell it sorry) and it alows you to sweat more whn you extersize.Good luck! But just remember everyones beautiful just the way they are! =]

Keep to stomach excersizes, like crunches, the six positions of pain, or leg lifts if you really wanna target the lower belly below the belly button. I once heard someone say that they had a six pack, and they did 300 crunches a day to keep it that way… thats prob unreasonable though, but just keep working at that stomach. Running is a goood way too, serious long distance runners all have that skinny body type. Of course, make sure you do them right ;)

Just keep losing that weight…at 5’4”, you still have a ways to go, and you’ll see that spare tire disappear. Certain parts of the body store fat better than others…one place is around the waist…so it disappears last. You can do crunches, and side bends, to build the muscle under the roll, so when the roll is gone…VOILA! there is a nice toned waist.

You’re doing great, so stick to it. Congrats on the weight you’ve already lost.
