Do my friends have the right to be mad?

well my friends are mad because I have changed. I was this preppy carefree stupid weird girl. I didnt have that many friends. and now im a emo smart rock chic that doesnt take any sh*t from no one and fits in. I mean I like that I changed. I lost some friends but I made a lot more. do they have the right to be mad? and I like who I am. I hate who I was. but why cant they understand that I have changed and will never go back?

Answer #1

If you feel better with the person you are now and your friends can’t accept it, screw ‘em. If they can’t accept you no matter what, then they aren’t real friends. If anything, YOU should be mad at THEM. They don’t want to be your friend because you’ve changed? They need to get over it. Everyone changes. Maybe THEY changed more than YOU did.

Answer #2

They do not have the right to be mad, you are who you are if they cant accept that then they are not your friends. Everyone changes one way or another, its life and obviously they haventt realized that yet!

Answer #3

People grow, people change and move in different directions. It’s a way of life. Don’t feel bad about the person that you’ve become.

Answer #4

no wayy they will have to accept that you have changed … and besides if they were real friends they would be happy for u … ok I wud say more but I am doing this on my psp ok ! … x kay x

Answer #5

xemogalx is right. If they were your real friends they would stick by your side and support your decisions unless you were hurting yourself. I would not call them friends any longer and just temporary friends cause they won’t be there whenever something bad happens.

Answer #6

I understand that they are mad because you changed you should be urself but you should also be happy with urself so they most likely shouldnt be mad they should accept who you have became .
