Should I be worried that one of my students collects photos of accident victims?

He likes to collect pictures of victims of accidents and then upload them on his FB. Some of the pictures are so nasty like a body without a head. I am wondering if this condition is a sign that there is something wrong with him?

Yes talk to the counceler like Up2nogood suggested and have them try and talk to the kid about it. Also have a talk with the parents maybe. If you cant then have the counceler talk to them, since its more of his/her job. If his parents are ok with this than something could be going on at home, or he may need counceling, so get an idea of what his home life is like and what the parents are like. On the bright side, he could just be aspiring to be a morgue or a detective or something ahaa. Ooooor a serial killer. :d But anyways yeah talk to the counceler about it and have him/her call the parents afterwards.

Things like this are pretty touchy. For the longest time, my daughter would collect dead animals. I was worried that it was some sort of psychological thing, but it turns out, she just wanted to be a vet.

I’d advise against taking chances, though - contact the school counselor and the student’s parents. If this is, indeed, a psychological disorder, it’s best to catch it early on while it’s still simple enough to treat.
