what age should you start worming puppies and defleaing them?

Answer #1

At the vet hospital I work at we deworm a litter at 3, 6, and 8 weeks of age, then we do a stool check to make sure they are free of intestinal parasites like hookworms, rounds, coccida and others As far as flea treatment you must read the box for pounds and or age, I know revloution as treatments for puppies.

FYI< also only certian dewomers will get rid of certian parasites,

There should be directions on the flea meds on how old they can be before using the product…

Pups are usually wormed once before you get them (say at 8 or 9 weeks), and then again…usually during the time they are getting their puppy shots…If you suspect your pup has worms, take a fresh stool sample into the Vets and have them check it…

you should take them to the vet at 6 weeks for their first set of shots, and then your vet will let you know the details on everything else.
