Will I go to hell for being gay?

Will I go to hell for being gay?

Answer #1

“He demanded the exercise of moral and theological discernment [John 7:24].”

True. But did Jesus want you to seem to enjoy exercising your discernment. You seem to relish it a bit too much.

Answer #2

God loves his followers more than anything. God’s heart is so big he will find room for you reguardless of what or who you are. Just stray away from the 10 commandments = )

Answer #4

*[“…But did Jesus want you to seem to enjoy exercising your discernment You seem to relish it a bit too much.”]

*If that is the case…then I am committing sin against God and will have to answer for it when I come before him. I am human even though the Lord has redeemed me…and “in my flesh” I do sin…but one thing I do know of a certainty—He will raise me up unto eternal life…through the merits of His dear Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.

Answer #8

Hell doesn’t exist, so no, you won’t be going there.

Answer #9

Since there is no such place as hell, no…

Answer #10

Trust me dude, You won’t go to hell.

Answer #11

Sigh. No. If there is a God, who is apparently supposed to have created everyone and everything and love all his children and is all about forgiveness, what makes you think he’s allow someone to go to hell for something he created?

Answer #12

Heck no! If you’re gay, you’re gay. It doesn’t matter. I love gay people. Guys are super fabulous! Heck, I wish I had their confidence sometimes. Be proud of who you are!

Answer #13

No God doesnt judge like that :)

Answer #14

*[“The ‘plank’ can relate to any sin.”]

*That is true…however, in this instance it refers specifically to the sin of homosexuality…because Kayvahn said he was gay and wanted to know if he would go to hell for it. My response was “you will go to hell for your sins. Homosexuality is just another sin that you will go to hell for if you do not have a saviour to atone for them.” I have no “plank” in my eye in this particular instance because I am NOT a homosexual and do not practice homosexuality. Therefore I can judge and not be a hypocrite because I practice what I preach (I.e., I do not practice homosexuality). Even though Matthew 7:2-5 deals specifically with Christians…it is applicable to anyone…that is, we should not feign piety if we are impious ourselves.

Too, I told him the truth…that the sin of homosexuality (among other sins) will send him to hell if he does not have a saviour who will atone for them: “Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality” [1 Corinthians 6:9].

BOTTOM-LINE: I did not condemn him (re-read my post)…told him the truth…and told him what the “cure” for his sins is—Jesus Christ the Lord..

*[“…and I believe the righteous judgment to which you refer is of another Christian…”]

*You are in error. While Jesus forbade harsh, censorious judgment that self-righteous legalism promotes [Matthew 7:1], He demanded the exercise of moral and theological discernment [John 7:24].

Answer #15

*You will go to Hell because of your SINS. Homosexuality is just another SIN that you will go to Hell for if you do NOT have a Saviour to ATONE for them. The Father sent His only SON to die for your SINS [John 3:16].. He paid the PRICE for them with His BLOOD on Calvary’s cross for them. If you will TRUST in His COMPLETED work for you on the cross you will be saved from the CONSEQUENCES of your SINS…for HE took their consequences for them on your behalf by SUBSTITUTING Himself for YOU.

By accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour you will NOT come into CONDEMNATION but will inherit ETERNAL life through HIM: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent ME, hath EVERLASTING life, and shall NOT come into CONDEMNATION; but is passed FROM death unto LIFE” [John 5:24]…and again: “There is therefore now NO condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” [Romans 8:1].

Answer #16

Will I go to hell for being gay?

Your question indicates that you believe in Hell. If you believe in Hell, then you must believe in God. And NOWHERE in the Bible does it say that you will automatically go to Hell for being homosexual.

Answer #17

Maybe you will. I don’t know how God judges, I don’t think gay will go to heaven. Because no one in Bible who goes to heaven is gay. So you decide. I believe hell is full of murderer, lier, gay… God makes us in the way of regeneration. If we don’t do so, shall we be comfortable to go to the creator’s kingdom?

Answer #18

no hell don’t exist, God isnt real And being gay is not a sin. live free

bobby_joe- what the hell was that? “” A d*ck was designed to go into/pleasure a woman its the only none man made thing that does it right.”” Do tell how you came to this conclusion cause I can do it quite well with a fingure and a toung.

how can someone whos not gay say if its a choise or not. If their not gay how would they know? cause its in a 2000 year old book? c’om “”the only unforgivable sin is ‘blasphemy’”” alright finally I’m damed forever

Answer #19

This is a question that lots of people dont know the answer to.. I dont think its right but im not one to hate/dislike you for your belief. In the bible it does talk bout gay people and that they will have their consequences.

And its just basic science.. A dck was designed to go into/pleasure a woman its the only none man made thing that does it right. Dck and D*ck dont fit together. Vagina and Vagina dont either. Your choice.

Pick what you want to be and dont complain when consequences happen.

Answer #20

Avim - Take the plank out of your own eye first…

Matthew 7:2-5 declares, “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

Answer #21

*[“Avim - Take the plank out of your own eye first…”]

*I have NO PLANK to take out…I am not a Homosexual.

*[“Matthew 7:2-5 declares,…”]

The Scripture that you cite does NOT prohibit all types of judging (v.16). There is a RIGHTEOUS kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise with careful discernment (John 7:24). Censorious, hypocritical, self-righteous, or other kinds of UNFAIR judgments are forbidden; but in order to fulfill the commandments that follow, it is necessary to DISCERN dogs and swine (v.6) from one’s own brethern (vv.3-5).

Answer #22

look if god made you the way you are then its ok its not like he’s gonna make a gay person and say “I’ve made a gay person and make his life misrable and in the ill give him/her to the devil” obviously not hes too mercifull(even more merciful then your mothers)you didnt choose to be gay god made you that way.

Answer #23

The “plank” can relate to any sin. and I believe the righteous judgment to which you refer is of another christian.

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for his sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is his Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with his sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope—and with the ultimate goal—of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20) and restoration to the fellowship. We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God’s Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction.” We are to “judge” sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences—the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Answer #24

God loves you. Everyone in Heaven will be a sinner. Every saint was a sinner everyday s/he ever lived. Seek to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. Ask God to speak to you about your life and how to live it and about the nature of sin.

My faith is in Jesus, so I believe that he made atonement for my sins, but I don’t want to beat you over the head with that. Jesus criticized people who leaped to condemn the sins of others while doing nothing to help them. I think that heterosexual Christians don’t have nearly enough love (“charity”) for homosexuals. However, I do believe that unrepentant sinners will ultimately be separated from God. And, by the way, I sin every day and I seek (and am granted) forgiveness everyday.

God loves you.

Answer #25

“And its just basic science.. A dck was designed to go into/pleasure a woman its the only none man made thing that does it right. Dck and D*ck dont fit together. Vagina and Vagina dont either. Your choice.”

Wow. Your idea of ‘science’ is… interesting. What research did you conduct to come to these revolutionary conclusions? You could start with how you scientifically demonstrated that the human penis is ‘designed’.

Answer #26

of course not! Well, it depends on your belief system. But people should be proud of who they are! I love gay people personally, though I’m not. Don’t hide anything. Oh, this study came out a few days ago that said that scientist found that being homosexual can actually be linked in DNA. I always knew it was natural. So now religious people can’t say it’s not ‘Gods will’ or whatever

Answer #27

If you truly ask the Lord to come into your heart he will forgive you. If you willingly live in that lifestyle and have no remorse than I would say that is between you and God when you are face to face. If you still struggle with wanting the same sex that is something only the Lord can help you with but I believe if you truly love God and want help he will help you. You may still struggle with the sexual temptations but keep reading the word of God and asking him for deliverance. If you truly are saved then you will try to overcome this and have some conviction.

Answer #28

You can’t go to a place that doesn’t exist. Be who you are. It shouldn’t matter what anybody, thing, or fictional character thinks of you; it’s how you feel about yourself. :D
