Why won't my newly restored iPod sync?

Hi - I recently bought an HP laptop and had to reconfigure my iPod for the new computer, since it had originally been configured for a Mac. I was told that I needed to restore my iPod to its factory settings, so I did. (I had already backed up my music, which I’ve reloaded onto my iTunes library.) However, now I can’t seem to load my music library onto my iPod. I hit “sync”, and the iPod says that it’s syncing, but no music appears. It seems like my iPod and my iTunes library aren’t communicating. Do you have any recommendations? THANKS!

Thanks - I did try hitting “sync” from the iTunes File menu, as well as the main “sync” button a few times during the past week, but they haven’t worked. I also tried contacting iTunes support, but the only option they presented me with was to turn in my ipod nano so they could take a look at it. They couldn’t guarantee when/if they’d return it (they might have to recommend that I get a new one). I’d really, really prefer not to have to pay for another one. :(

Are you hitting “sync” from the File menu in iTunes? If that’s not working, try it again a few times. I put some foreign language podcasts through CD into my library and it took a few times before they actually sync’d up.

iPod also has a great support line through iTunes if you’re still having problems. Much better than Microsoft’s.
