Why won't my computer recognize my MP3??

I just bought this mp3 player by augen called the pendant. its just a little 1gig thing I just wanted for a flight but I can’t get my computer to recognize it. any suggestions? I tried plugging it into both usb ports, also tried restarting with it plugged in.

it says on the box compatable with 98, 2000, and xp. I have xp

Did it come with a disk to install? If it did then try that. With my mp3 players I usually went to Start > My Computer and it showed up right there. Maybe try turning the mp3 player on while it’s plugged in If you haven’t already.

I did try the different usb port. I did try a different lead. and, drivers?

find the make of the player, go to the site and see if theres any drivers…

go to my computer then find you mp3 and drag and drop the songs into it

nope. no disk. just a simple mass storage usb mp3player
