Why Tracey Ullman plays ugly and wants pathetic?

“I don’t want to be the pretty girl. I just want to dress up and look terrible on TV,” Ullman says of the quirky characters she plays on “Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union,” her new sketch-comedy series on Showtime. “You know, I’ve always wanted to be the ugly stepsister or the person with the problem.” Do you think that Tracey should continue with the ugly role play or she should change in the future?

Maybe because she’s just good at those type of supporting roles…if that’s her preference, so be it :)
