Why this obsession?

My boyfriend has been asking me for a long time now “Are you rich?” I’m like “Why does it matter if I’m rich or not? I’m not poor” hes like “it doesn’t matter to me I don’t care if you are a hobo” (I’m not a hobo lol) & he keeps asking me & every time he does I’m like “Why are you so obsessed with knowing if I’m rich or not does it really matter that much to you?” hes like “ I just like to have a rough idea of where I am going in life” etc. etc. hes asked me like a million times! <_<

My question is What’s his problem? why does he want to know so badly? I’m going to have a job(Veterinarian) when we move together & he will too hes like “ we could just live off the interest if you were rich” & I’m thinking is that all he cares about? he just wants my money? I’m just confused & annoyed

Replying to maggot4: Yes that’s what it sounds like to me too. I’m not sure he wasn’t like this when we started dating. He started this like 5 months maybe into dating we have been together for almost a year (it will soon be a year for us).

I really hope that hes not with me just because I “may” have lots of money =( but with me because he truly loves me… I really love him…

He doesn’t want to be with you for love,he wants you because you MAY have lots of it and he sees it.
