Why the new rules for the title question?

It really is quite annoying, dose it bug anybody else? Having to say

Who what when where why or how in the topic sentence Sometimes my questions don’t start like that, and it’s like, how do I even word this?

I think they should change it back to normal…do you?

Answer #1

Well, how do specifics help people if people out there need advice but can’t word it how they want to and are limited to what they can say?

sometimes “please help” is all a person can say there really is not question just a story in their life that they need advice with

Answer #2

In English my kids know (they are 7 and 8) that a question ends in a question mark :)

So…yes, we make you work a little harder, but, the upside is things make sense now, as people write them.

Before, we’d have (no joke) 10% of ALL question titles be “help” or “please help”…and other variants.

Yes, this is perhaps too extreme…but, so far, I’ve yet to get any specific examples of what failed and how…if I don’t get specifics, I can’t share them with our engineering staff, and, we can’t make it better.

Specifics make the world go round, generalities help no one.

Answer #3

I have to agree with you, half the questions I want to ask can’t be rephrased to one of those words,it’s pretty difficult. Maybe one day they’ll change it back.

Answer #4
