Why should I not date a 17 just cause im 14 ?

Someow it is, somehow it isnt.

The 17 year old has a more mature mind thinking meaning that when it comes to sex he will be the pushy one the one that wants to have it no matter what and tha younger one, you, would be insecure not knowing what to do.

Right know he is not an adult but really one more year and he is and that would be wrong.

forever29 is SO right. I was in a situation exactly like what she is describing, and it did suck. but make sure you know him and he’s not just after you for physical stuff and then you should be okay, but be careful good luck :)

The reason it is an issue in many peoples eye is because of the maturity and expectation levels you are both on. For example, your maturity and relationship expectations are very different from an 11 year olds. Things have changed a bit for you in 3 years. It’s not necessarily bad, but 17 year old guys tend to be a lot more pushy sexually than 14 year olds. I don’t know what your level of experience is and that may be fine with you. From my experience in highschool and college, a lot of guys take advantage of the naivity of young girls. I can’t say this guy is like that, but its something you have to be aware of. A lot of the sweet comments that come out of their mouths is so they can get what they want and finding that out the hard way sucks.
