Should I give my friend my address ?

I’ve known a guy online for year now , we’re good friends , but he wants to send letters to each other and he needed my address , but I have a bad feeling in my stomach , should I give it to him or not ?

Answer #1

If you don’t feel comfortable giving him your details, you definitely shouldn’t give him any. Not your home address, not a work place or any other address that links to you. It’s extremely tough to judge online relationships (be it friends or more) and it can be very dangerous. So for your own safety, keep it to emails and messenger.

Answer #2

Perhaps you could start mailing each other using your places of work. For example, if you work at say an office building, located at 123 Main Street, Nowheresville, Montana 22578, you can have the mail mailed there… I can’t explain it very well, just do this.

xmarandax C/O Something Industries 123 Main Street, Nowheresville Montana 22578. Thats just an example.

Answer #3

I agree I would not send him your address just keep emailing each other, if you do want to send a letter take out a post office box.

Answer #4

No…trust your gut…And…now that you know how your gut feels…maybe you should re-look this “good friendship”…I think there have been red flags in this relationship, and “online” is the only way you really want to know this guy.
