Why is he making me so crazy?

The first time I met him, he looked into my eyes and shook my hand. I talked to him on msn telling him I saw him at the movies and he kept the conversation going. The next day at school, my friends told me he was telling all his friends I was talking to him which I didnt seem why it was such a big deal. I saw him again at a party and he said hi to me first. He was completely sober and asked me to sit on his lap twice. When we were alone, he asked me if I wanted to go somewhere else. Nothing happened though. The next day his “friends” started texting me on his phone over a 4 hour period of time and were asking me all this stuff if I wanted to hookup and stuff. I asked him who had his phone on that night and he said he did, I asked him if anyone else did, he said I dont know I dont think so. He didnt even appologize for what his “friends” said to me. He’s making me crazy. He was even the last person to write happy ‘belated’ birthday to me on a social site, when he was fully aware that it was my birthday the day before. I NEED ADVICE
