Why is everyone addicted to guitar hero?

Well this is a matter of a lot of debate over the internet, personally I like the idea of guitar hero (I can play on the hardest difficulty) but the songs just suck, I hate that kind of music. Yeah Michael Jacksons “Beat it” I REALLY wanted to play that didnt I ¬_¬. I like rock band it has better music and has a nicer interface. People like playing these games because they are a simple colour matching simon says game, the controller is a different shape and its gameplay is unique to other games. Seriously people that play Guitar Hero do NOT think they can play real guitar, we aknowledge that is is hard to learn real guitar, so since our pea-sized brains cant handle that furious fretwork we’ll just stick with a video game. I think people that play guiar feel really threatened by guitar hero, like its somehow done them wrong. I think that they need to get a grip because we know it isnt real, we know we arent rock stars. Its just a game.
