Why doesn't my mom have Tourettes?

My brother, sister and I unfortunately have Tourettes syndrome . So I guess it runs in my fam, but skipped my mom?

Answer #1

Sometimes genetic diseases can skip generations. Alzheimer’s runs in my family but, thankfully, it skipped my generation. It’s unfortunate at the same time, though, because as my mother ages, she’ll slowly start forgetting and my kids will, probably, have it.

It’s just one of life’s many mysteries.
