Why does my watch smell bad when it gets wet?

is it leather??? or maybe a type of cloth?

it might be because the material might smell bad when wet, so if you sweat on it itll stink as well…

Your collection of sweat over the many times that you wear your watch make it a smelly watch. Sweat by itself doesn’t smell at all. It’s the bacteria that live on your skin that mix with the sweat and give it a stinky smell.

So next time try wearing a watch with a strap that’s not made out of absorbent material. This is why I stop wearing watches.. I just look at the time on my cellphone instead :)

okay, depending on the material of the watch , if its plastic or cotton cloth, one thing you might try is to take clear nail polish and apply it to the back. If its leather you can do the same thing if you dont mind the leather discoloring a little, or you can go to a leather store and ask for some kind of water resistant solution to apply.
