I have a Yorkie who is a year old…he keeps pooping and peeing on the floor…I’ve tried takin him out and he still does…he has a 3ft by 3ft kennel he stays in and has a puppy pad…when he is in there he uses it but when we let him out he goes on the floor…I pop him hard and shove his nose in it and put him up but he still continues…what should I do…

Some males (especially small dogs) mark their territory…and pee ‘on’ things…is that what he’s doing?

If this is a new behavior, then take him to the Vet…(if he is housetrained, and suddenly has quit going outside)…you’ll want to eliminate a physical reason.

If he’s always done it, then he’s not housetrained…and that’s why. You have to put in a LOT of time when housetraining a dog. It is the most intensive training you’ll ever do.

he might get excited or become frightened very easily and thats why he pees. my tiny dog does it all the time if someone yells at her or someone has food she wants lol but I found that if I only feed my dog once a day and water twice a day that it helps. your dog wont starve or die of thirst lol you probably over feed him and a tiny dog cant handle that much food. tiny dogs tiny bellys tiny bladders:) maybe try pee pads? your dog might not like going outside because of the wheather???
