Why does my computer say "error-incorrect path to ini file" ?

I downloaded a nancy drew game from a disk. When I try to play it my computer says error- incorrect path to ini file. I can’t figure out what I am supposed to do next.

I’ve only just woke up from a 2 hour zzz so this is gonna be snoozy…

try this:

uninstall teh game - restart computer - reinstall the game - restart computer and run again..

what operating system you using?

if vista or above locate the setup.exe on teh disk, right click and ‘run as administrator’ and install to a different location..

so if default location is c\programe files\nancy drew

try: d\nancy drew

or

c\program files (x86)\nancy drew
