Why do people laugh when I fart?

Ok I fart a lot during the day mostly in school, and when I do people turn around and look at me weird… Then they laugh. Why? I dont get it, everyone farts so whats so funny?

Uh, everybody does do it, but generally not in public. Because it’s something that you just don’t do in front of other people. It’s not what I’d call a display of good manners and etiquette.

I don’t know, I guess it all started with the whoopie cushion. Personally I don’t think farting is really all that bad. I mean in Asia they’ll be farting out of the blue. And no one will say a word or even glance. I think it’s pretty natural, but I guess kids are immature ?
