Why cant I manage to make myself look my age?

Ok, im 14, and im constantly mistake for anything between 16-19. Its getting annoying. Im 180cm (about 5’11”) tall, and slim/muscular… I train each day twice… So yeh, which probably has a lot to do with it, but I cant help that. And dont tell me to “just go with it”… I’ve tried that…

And as for why its annoying? My sister is 16, and people constantly mistake me for a boyfriend of hers. Or if im out with my friends I get addressed as the adult.

I wear similar clothes to most my age (albeit, more expensive than most my friends, ahh the glory of a good family), so I doubt thats the issue. Possiblly the lack of color in my clothes too.

Im clean shaven (or atleast where people see it) so no problems there. I just cant get myself to fit in. I’ve outgrown all my family exept my father… But if I’m with him im mistaken as an equal. Which sucks.

Also I get called a “pedo” if I look at girls my own age. Again, annoying. And at disco’s/parties, I cant hang with peopl my age. Because I dont look my age.

ahh heavenly, we all know of your weekly rant on grammar. And I quite like it myself. rather gratifying to see someone who thinks like me. I’ll take into account the advice on hair and graphic tee’s.

**rosealyn apparently didn’t notice you were a guy. I wouldn’t suggest any makeup for you at all…haha

I have the opposite problem (I’m 20 and people assume I’m 16), so forgive me if my advice isn’t from personal experience. I don’t think working out is a problem because a lot of young people do that nowadays. Graphic tees will help you a lot since solid colors are more a mark of adulthood. Try adding some product in your hair or something. A few spikes may help a bit. And while I’m the biggest advocate for proper grammar out there, I must admit that the way you speak (or write in this instance) is rather advanced for your age. I’m not necessarily encouraging you to dumb it down, but that may help a bit…sadly.

Lol, just put some aluminum foil on your teeth and call it a grill. That should do the trick just fine :)
