Who was this guy on the first season of America's Got Talent?

Ok. There was this contestant on the first season of America’s Got Talent that I really liked and I want to see if he ever got a record deal or recorded any songs. I’m not sure how far he made it, but he was sort of a chubbier guy that had a wife and young son. His sound reminded me of the Jason Mraz song ‘I’m Yours’ or kinda like John Popper, the lead singer of Blues Travelers. Does anyone know this guy’s name or anything else that could help me find anything out about him?

go on youtube and type in americas got talent if you remember what week or eppersoid then I think you will find your way to finding out good luck on your search
