Who was the better artist? Michael Jackson or Freddie Mercury?

As much as I loved Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury’s songs has more meaning to them in my opinion :) And I do think his singing voice was so much powerful than Michael’s. Both were amazing in their own way but who’s music did you prefer and why? Please don’t use the reason becasue the other one sucked or something silly like that. And I’m talking about their music not them as a person.

you’ve got it all right: freddie has the more powerful voice and queen the most meaningful songs.. however, I feel the two kinds of music - mj’s and queen’s - are on two different levels of perception. queen is more intellectual, let’s say. mj - more emotional, instinctual. freddie is more creative, mj is more inspired.. . personally I get more vibes with mj and it relaxes me more. even his mediocre songs have a sort of magical power, that’s his personal one.. queen gets me excited but differently, as from reading something deep for instance. queen’s music empowers me, mj’s relaxes and enchants me.. also I think mj’s voice is more appealing to me, it’s velvetlike and I like that. sometimes mj’s perfomance on stage seams to me like pure beauty. and it may seem irrelevant but I think it’s not, I also think mj is sexier, at least on stage.. but this has to do with personality and taste.. so I guess my heart would choose mj, although at times I value freddie more..

I love both so much. I was a fan of MJ before I even knew about Queen. But you know it all depends in the mood I am. If I want something to groove too I would say MJ. but you wanna just relax and listen to tunes. its gotta be freddie

Freddie Mercury. Did you ever listen to any of Queen’s songs? They are genius. I’m not just saying that because I like them, but the writers had music degrees and they knew what they were doing and the music is just phenomenal!

I prefer mj because he just didnt make good music but revelutionized music and music vidoes themselves and the way people dance he was the total package when it came to the music industry.
