Who thinks The Oscars awards are rigged?

My question is, do you think The Oscars awards given to the leading actress and actor very year is rigged?

Do the organisers get together and brainstorm the perquisites for the winners? EG:

  • ‘Let us awards the Oscar to the leading actor and actress who never ever had a nomination before?’ eg: Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges. (2010 awards)

  • ‘How about Oscars for the over-sea born actor / actress eg: Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe. (Same year).

  • How about give all the awards to African American actors / actress eg: Halle Berry, Denzel Washington and the Hall of Fame award winner Sydney Potter. (The same year).

Answer #1

I was just disappointed that Avatar didn’t do better. It’s typical that some war movie will win Oscars, only because it is emotional. Annoys me.

Answer #2

Did you mean ‘’rigged’’? Because, ah… ‘’rigid’’ implies something else entirely.

I’m pretty sure nobody gets together and conspires to screw one person out of an award, and give it to another. These actors and actresses are given these awards because of their spectacular performances.

Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, and Monique Imes-Jackson were three incredible performances that I saw, and no wonder that they all won an award. This was just a great year for actors, with tons of believable and inspiring roles to play.

Besides, you can almost always tell who’s going to win anyway. Just pay attention to what people say about their acting once their movie comes out. (How often I heard Sandra Bullock deserves an Oscar right after The Blind Side came out is astonishing.)
