Who has experience with SAD in a teenage girl?
I have an 18 year old diagnosed with SAD. Depression only affects her Aug-end of Dec. Had a pretty good year this year with depression, with 30 mg prozac daily…but her manic phases have gotten worse. During manic phases she makes irrational choices.
Well you must know of one of the treatments for SAD which is purchasing a UV light system type thing which will act like the sun essentially giving your gaughter what her body needs. SAD is usually from lack of sunlight and is found in lots of people. I myself am a teenager and I have noticed that I do suffer from some sort of depression, once summer comes to an end and im in doors more often this is when it hits me the hardest. SOOO get your daught outside and active. If oyu don’t already have one of those Uv lights then I suggest buying one. It couldnt hurt. \
